Benita’s Bridal, Formal & Tuxedo is accepting applications for Full and Part-time Bridal Stylists and Seamstresses. We are thrilled to be able to add more fun, charismatic talent to our growing team at Benita’s. Bridal Stylist
INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greeting and assisting customers
- Sparking a good relationship with every customer that comes in the store
- Measuring and special ordering Bridal, Special Occasion Gowns & Tuxedos
- Follow up and follow through on all customer’s inquires
- Promptly clearing dressing rooms and keeping all merchandise straightened
- Maintaining store cleanliness
- Contributing to sales and other store goals
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Professional conduct and dress
- Retail Fashion experience — Bridal and Formal experience a plus
- A “People Person”– outgoing and genuine, desire to provide excellent customer service
- Excellent communication skills and work ethic, attention to detail
- Demonstrate initiative, ability to problem solve, excellent phone etiquette, ability to multi-task computer and Point of Sale proficiency
- Ability to work weekend store hours — Benita’s is open 6 days a week

Seamstress
INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Guiding brides through first, second, and final fittings, and pinning the gown while evaluating its structural integrity
- Recording detailed, highly precise measurements to ensure the garment fits flawlessly
- Advising brides on what alterations are feasible based on the dress design and fabric limitations
- Taking in or letting out side seams, shaping bodices, adjusting straps, and modifying cups
- Carefully shortening or hemming complex skirts featuring intricate lace, beading, crinoline, or multiple lining layers
- Designing and sewing functional, aesthetic bustles so the bride can easily lift her train for the reception
- Adding or removing sleeves, altering necklines, and sewing in embellishments like appliques and beading
- Ironing, steaming, and preparing the gown for final client pickups so it looks completely pristine
- Maintaining a clean, safe workspace suitable for high-end garments and keeping precise project notes for each client
- Providing a calming, supportive presence, as fittings can be highly emotional for brides
